Scrollport gives your agent one connection and one prepaid wallet for tools from multiple providers. Describe the job you want done; your agent finds suitable tools, checks their inputs and prices, then runs them.

Provider access is included. Tools that work in your own apps ask you to connect that account.

## Find the right tool

Browse the same tools your agent uses in the [tools catalog](https://scrollport.com/tools):

- A **tool** performs one operation, such as searching the web or finding an email.
- A **provider** is the company or service behind it.
- A **capability** groups tools that achieve the same outcome so you can compare options.
- A **category** groups related work, such as sales, SEO or media creation.

## Stay in control

You review and approve your agent's connection in the browser. Signing in alone does not grant access.

If a tool needs an account you already use, your agent provides a connection link. You review the permissions and authorise that account separately; your provider credentials stay private.

## Pay for successful runs

Before a tool runs, Scrollport checks the input and estimates its cost. Funds are reserved while it works. A successful run charges the final cost and releases any unused reservation; a failed run releases the full amount and is not charged.

Tool runs above your per-run limit need your approval. A daily limit caps spending across all agents. See [wallet and spending](https://scrollport.com/docs/guides/wallet) to set these controls.

## How your agent uses Scrollport

Nine control tools handle the process:

| `list_apps` | Checks which app accounts are connected to your workspace. |
| `search_tools` | Finds tools for the job. |
| `inspect_tool` | Reads a tool's inputs, outputs, price and worked example. |
| `run_tool` | Starts a tool run. |
| `get_run` | Reads an existing run's status, result, artifacts and cost without starting or charging another run. |
| `get_wallet` | Checks available funds and spending limits. |
| `get_files` | Finds uploaded references and generated files, refreshes links and checks storage. |
| `upload_file` | Uploads or imports a reference, or gives a human an upload link. |
| `delete_file` | Permanently removes an authorised file. |

Your agent looks up tool details when needed. As the catalog grows, the same nine control tools give it access to new options.

## View results and manage files

Click a run activity row to preview text, tables, images, video or audio and download its output. ## Check availability

Discovery shows only published, live tools. A tool can become temporarily unavailable while its operation or pricing is checked, so your agent should check the current listing before using it.
